quick update on  3 SSE activities:

1.  SSE Home Bhajans practice 
- Yesterday we had a beautiful session-  many new bhajans were taught 

- Encourage Parents to bring their kids and take maximum advantage of these practice sessions. 

-  once per month - 3rd Saturday

2.   We are Fast approaching Eshwarama Day Celebration-  May 9th 1- 6pm here

- Our Center is in full swing preparing our kids for their Presentation offering. 
Script - Completed
Practice/Rehearsals - 1:30pm went.

This will be a very memorable presentation.  I'm excited about it


3.  Next Sunday March 29th,  Brother Herb will be leading our study circle on Holy Week, Lent and Easter.

He will discuss what Swami says about Lord Christ, last supper, his betrayal,  Crucifixion, Death and Resurrection.

And how a practicing Catholic, understand these events in harmony with my belief in Swami and Jesus Christ.

Encourage G4 and G3 Teachers and kids to participate.

It advocates for education to foster love and remove bigotry, promoting the idea that diverse faiths are merely different paths to one God.

-Welcome to Our Esawarama Day - Kick off Meeting

-The Celebration will be here at the Sai Unity Center on Saturday May 9, starting at 1pm 

-Esawarama Day celebration is a sub-region event - It includes Boston Sai Center, Chelmsford, Norwood and Northborough

-The Boston SSE presentation will be 40 mins. 

-There will be a refreshment/snack break in between the program


-Thank you the parents, our SSE teachers, Students and the

-Easwaramma sub-Committee members (Kanchana, Anusurya, Leela and Ajita)  for their commitment, hard work and dedication - to ensure this program becomes a resounding success.

So who is Easwaramma  and why are we celebrating Easwaramma day?

Easwaramma is the birth mother of Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. 

Swami was born in a small village called Puttaparthi, which is in the District of Anantapur from the state of Andhra Pradesh,  India 


Why do celebrate Easwaramma Day? 
We Celebrate the Life of Mother Esawarama.  

Before it was called Easwaramma Day it was called Children Day! and to commemorate her death anniversary!  May 6th 1977

May 9: program

Mother Easwaramma is an example of an ideal mother.
She Performing selfless service for the needy, and singing the glories of God.
Because of her wish:
Swami
- Build School education for the children of Puttaparthi
- Water project provide fresh clean water
- Build a medical facility  - to treat the sick ..  All for free!!!

Mother Easwaramma promote love, selfless Service and she focused on Children Education
She was compassionate and a kind and caring person 
That is why we are celebrate the Life of Mother Esawarama.  Easwaramma Day!

So guess what? The SSE Kids are doing something special for Eshwararama day 
 

Sathya Sai Baba's mother, Smt. Easwaramma, passed away on May 6, 1972, in India. She died suddenly at the age of over 80 in Brindavan, Whitefield, while attending a Summer Course. She is honored annually on May 6th, known as Easwaramma Day or Mother's Day.
  • Death Date: May 6, 1972.
  • Location: Brindavan (Whitefield, Bangalore), India.
  • Significance: May 6 is celebrated annually as Easwaramma Day or Children's Day in her honor.
  • Burial: She was buried at Puttaparthi.

Her passing is commemorated for her role as the "Chosen Mother" of the Avatar, and she is remembered for her, love for children and compassion.


Each student read the following 3 Program Themes and voted on which theme we should be focusing on for Easwaramma Day Presentation:

1.  Values: Lives Through Chinna Kathas
2.  A Day in Puttaparthi
3. Sai Avatara Yuga Avatara -  The Early life of Sathya Sai Baba

- "The Day in Puttaparthi" won.
